Lund 1950 outboard shaft length?

Hopefully this is a fairly easy question. I have a 1996 lund 1950 gran sport that I recently purchased without a motor. What length of shaft should I be looking for? I found a nice donor boat with a 150 merc, but it's a bass boat so I assume that it will be too short for the deep hulled tyee. Thanks for the help- Nathan

Measure upper transom keel distance in straight line, if it's max 40 cm it's for a Short shaft. If longer it's for a Long shaft.

Thanks guys. So I should measure from the top of the transom where the motor attaches to the bottom of the V to get the measurement on the boat?

Will a 125 optimax have enough power to get this boat around? It came with a 115 in the base model, but can go as high as 200.
