most of them. Mariners are mostly just different colored Mercury's. They did that so they could have two motor dealers in the same small town not competing on the same brand of motor. Johnson and Evenrude did the same thing. It all has to do with marketing. Lowrance and Eagle, the list goes on,,,,,,,,,,,

Edit: If you mean which years are the same, like will an '96 fit an '88, or '99, that's a different story, can't help there, sorry

I'm trying to replace a 1992 Mariner long shaft lower unit at as small an expense as I can account my boat isn't that great. but I already have a lot invested in it. Can a I tell by comparing another lower unit with mine to determine that it may fit? Or better yet, is there any information out there that says which Mariner or Mercury lower units will fit my 1992 Mariner long shaft lower unit?
