convert to hydraulic steering with this teleflex seastar system??

Just bought a used 1978 Johnson 175hp an it has a Teleflex seastar HC5342 front mount arm, did not come with any other controls or hoses. My question is, does this system replace the original steering tube or does this fit through it?

Also I have a 1985 Johnson 120 on my 19' Keywest center console which has a rotary steering system so how hard or what's involved in using the above hydraulic steering on my Johnson 120?

I think it goes on the steering tube. If you have the $$ I would go for it. It's a big motor and it will make life easier.....I would question why the motor came wit it?? They probably could have got $100-$200 for it on ebay..You would have to question if it works?

I'd give Teleflex a call and see what they have to say. You'll like it.
