I just bought a 1990 Aquasport 22ft CC boat. It currently has a 200 mercury on it. It may need a repower, would a 175 do the trick? The boat weighs 2900 lbs. I may be able to get a 225 also.
Yes, just make sure it's propped correctly. The 200 will just give you about 3mph more top speed and a little faster plane which would probably be hard to notice.
