97 Yamaha 115 V4

I am looking at an 18 foot bass boat. It has a 97 Yamaha 2-stroke (115 hp) V4. It has low hours and all fresh water use. I am not familiar with this motor. Is there anything I should be specifically looking for?

Those are awesome motors. Check compression and a lake test is best! Clean fuel systems and a new impeller and thermostat is a good idea when buying used. Check lower unit for water intrusion.

Check that great motor, but i really love Yamaha outboards. if you do your maintenance that wont let you down.
