Is it possible to take a 4 stroke johnson evinrude (or e-tech 2 stroke) and put it on an older 2 stroke lower unit?

As I understand it The BRP portable motors are made by Tohatsu.
It's unlikely their power head would fit other legs.
For some time previously Portable Johnson and I believe Evinrude were made by Suzuki.
Again unlikely to fit older legs.

anything is possible with access to a machine shop, a pile of aluminum and a properly set up tig welder. however I am going to state with 99% probability that the answer is no. the legs of 4-stroks are designed as the oil reservoir. 2 stroke legs are there just to space the lower unit from the power head and to mount the transom clamps.
