Would like to know the weight (in pounds) of a Merc 115 hp 6 cylinder model (2 cycle tower) ?

between 300 and 315#, depending on the year and model.

Correct. And mebbe even a lil more with inboard T&T pump.

In 1972 the weight, according to the brouchure was 272 lbs, in 1986 between 295 to 312

I changed from a 2003 40 HP Merc to a 1978 115 Merc. I actually weighted the motor with the T/T pump. It was 326 pounds with oil and lines.
