1996 Mercury 3.3hp outboard - external fuel tank?

I know these had a built in tank - did they also have a fitting for an external tank?

Edit: Found the answer - no external fuel tank fitting.

To use an external fuel tank, engine will need to have a integrated fuel pump on carb. And that model supplies fuel to carb just by gravity.

Thanks SR - good information. I guess I'll just stow a small gas can on board the dinghy with one of those fantastic eco-friendly spouts we have here in the U.S. :grumpy:
