Is this legit?

I am searching for some new or used outboard motors and came across this website Blue Oceans Marine

Has anyone ever used them or know anything about them. I have not contacted them, I see their address says Indonesia.

But they have some really good deals on outboards. Usually if it looks too good to be true it probably is.

Might be great pricing until you pay the freight charges from Indonesia. Try and get a rate quote and import papers!

The only payment method they accept is a money wire transfer through your bank. Could be shady???

What happens when the shipping crate is full of bricks or if you do get a motor, it just junk? All the motors are sold "as is" according to their T&C.

We had a thread in the few months on the same thing. The business address turned out to be a vacant or something like that.

Well, It may be, worth looking in to. I figured something was not right with it. I believe I read free shipping somewhere. I was trying to see if I could tell if the motors were photoshopped. They sure have alot of diff motors pictured. Which leads me to believe they do have motors. But that doesnt mean someone didn't spend alot of time working on the website to make us think that. All they need is a couple people to wire them 10K and it was more than worth is I guess.

Are there any places that you can check reviews on websites or find out if they are legit?

I thought we did. It also looks like the business name on the side of the hulls look to be photoshopped, at least to me.

I guess I wouldn't give it a second look....... Indonesia is a HUGE red flag...........

Just way too many outboards available locally w/o having the headache of going out-of-country to get one.

This is just plain silly!

As I recall the actual location of this outfit turned out to be China. Looks very bogus to me.

If you look up the address in Google Earth, it shows the closest match as being what appears to be residences in Indonesia. They are fairly close to the water though...

I dunno...
Think I would pass.
Very little in the way of recourse if they send you a crate of dirty diapers, or a crate with an outboard that has a hole in the side of the block.

Buy one, I am curious what you get for your money. Other than a receipt (if you get anything).

Here, pull my finger..............

All these scams work on the basic greed of people. Don't even bother thinking about looking at the site. Face it: There is no free lunch. Cows, chickens, and pigs get free lunches and they get slaughtered.

I can't believe the number of people responding to this post. Is it really that slow in iboats land?

Think about this, even if it were FREE US Customs and importation fees and regulations would make this almost impossible to deal with, especially for the everyday person who has never imported anything. It's not like you can ship this through the Post Office!
