My husband and I just got our first boat and we don't know what the oil to gas ratio is for the motor. We are taking it out today so any help would be appreciated. Also, do you put the oil in the gas can first and then the gas and then pour it in? Thanks

Hi, JAW.

The correct fuel:eek:il ratio is called 50:1, but calculates to 48:1. It is one pint of TC-W3 rated outboard oil to 6 gallons of unleaded regular gas.

I usually put the oil in the tank, then added the gas, but I don't think it matters. It will get enough agitation to ensure a good mix before you actually use it.
