Key for OMC Control ignition switch

Hello Forum,
I recently bought a post 1996 OMC remote control for my outboard from EBAY. It didn't come with an ignition switch key. Does anyone know how to obtain the right key for that ignition switch or do I need to buy the whole ignition switch kit?

If you knew the number of the key, you had a chance, without that number. You need a new switch that will fit the control or a locksmith to make a key for you.

Look real closely at the tumbler on the key switch as there should be a number on it. Take that number to a BRP dlr and he should have one.
