25 hp honda or 25 hp nissan?

my uncle has a 2006 honda 25 hp four stroke and he is willing to trade me his motor for my 1986 25hp nissan 2 stroke. i was wondering if i would get more speed out of the honda vs the nissan? the boat is a 1648 mv jon boat.

The Nissan would probably be a tiny bit faster or at least feel like it. The Honda is a smoother, quieter and probably longer lasting outboard that will never be forbidden on protected lakes.

I would take that offer in a nanosecond, Drew.

thanks JB i think im going to do the deal he just wants my motor to sell it because he tore up his utility trailer and wants to use the money to buy a new one and he dosent use this honda hardly at all. it has maybe 20 or 25 hours on it.
