Getting to old to be lifting my 'rude 40hp out of the water. Was wondering what the community thought about the PT-130.

I ran one for several years on my old rig with an older Johnson 85hp. It worked great. It was a nicely made unit that gave me no problems whatsoever.

I had one on my boat to lift my 50 mariner, I loved it. It worked great and was very well built.

Nope. Bolt to boat as you would a motor, bolt motor to CMC. Easy peasy.

Another nice thing about the CMC units is they really hold their value. Should you upgrade to a motor with factory TnT in the future, you can probably sell the CMC for close to what you paid for it.

+1 on this... installed one on my restore very recently and performed great out on the water. Install was a cinch! I made this A How to...Installation of CMC PT-130 a while back (not too much info)... but as EZ stated the instructions are pretty easy to follow. I feel it is well worth the investment. Resale is great on them as well!

Thanks guys, I feel I made a good move purchasing one. I'll have it bolted on tonight and hopefully on the water this weekend.
