Good day!
I'm new to the outboard engines. Just bought a boat and a Johnson 40 Electrical (Late 70's). Can anyone please tell me how to connect the battery? I connected the remote line (big red round connector) and the throttle cables, however I can not see where to connect the power cable (red and black from the battery). There is nothing about that in the manual.
Thank you in advance!

Red goes to one side of the starter solenoid. Opposite side of the solenoid goes to the starter.

Black is ground cable. Goes under a suitable bolt on the powerhead. Electrically, it doesn't matter which one, but try to keep it neat.
