I'm looking to buy a shop manual for my 1990 yamaha 50ESD-JD, wondering what you guys prefer.

Thanks

Well... Cylmer is terrible, Seloc is aweful, does that help?

Honestly there is no substitution for an actual factory service manual. They are a few bucks more than the aftermaket, but worth every penny.

If you are on the forum long enough you will see post after post saying that the Seloc either did not explain or confused the poster. Clymers is a bit better but if you are serious, there is no substitute for the factory manual.

Whatever you get, get the paper hardcopy. I have heard numerous complaints about disc versions.

OEM manual is the way to go. Clymer manuals have one use but they are not as absorbant as a real toilet roll.
