Hi,

I'm from Holland and I'm Looking for some advice about the Seadoo Challenger 1800.

I want to buy an used someone (2001), but I 'm confused because there are Challengers 1800 with 2 Rotax engine and others with V6 EFI 240 PS.
Which one is better? Or maybe are both of them not so good?

I need some info and opinions.

Regards

i do not rotax engines. had seadoo jet ski. after 100 hours, was a real PITA. finally seized up. i read something about running a different oil. are these 2 cycle motors or 4 cycle? 4 cycles are better.

Hi tashasdaddy,

Unfortunately, I have no experience with boats and motors!
that's why I'm looking for advice.

Thanks

my neighbor just bought a 2002 seadoo islanda with a 240 hp mercury V6 EFI and it is a 2 stroke with a separate oil tank.

from what he says, it takes a lot of gas and it's very hard to park the boat at a dock.
