When I bought my boat 3 months ago it had, and still has, the Panther 300 Jackplate on it. The motor on it has the only rust (it's on the motor housing only) or corrosion on the entire boat/engine and I'm concerned that it will rust through and destroy the motor......so I'm hoping I can hear from some other Panther owners to get a read on their experiences with them - good, bad, or indifferent.

By the way, this jack plate is slower than the Bob's plate but it has worked consistently and I'm happy enough to keep it, especially considering the cost of a new one.

Tashasdaddy, I've been to the website and have even emailed the folks at the main company that makes these things. I'm still hoping that someone on this site with 'real world' experience with the Panther 300 will chime in with their experiences.

Thanks for the link!

Tony
