I Am Looking For A Place To Purchase A Fuel Tank Decal For This Vintage Outboard. Does Anyone Know? Also The Value? It Is In Mint Condition Ecept For The Decal And It Runs! Also Have Original (copies) Of The Parts Manual And Service Manual.:)

I THINK ITS A J-25 BUT NOT SURE.. THERE IS A "NO.A2145" ON THE TOP OF THE "PULL COVER" WHICH ALSO SAYS "JOHNSON MOTOR CO. SOUTH BEND IND. USA.:confused:

If the first part of the serial number on the rope plate is an A, then it is an A-XX, not a J-25. The A-series were the twin cylinder, opposed motors. The J-25s were single cylinders. A-25s were 1925 & 1926 model years. A-35s were 1927 & 1928 model years. What does the parts and service manual you have say on it? I'd need to find my serial number list to nail it down for you...
