I found an older boat with a 150 Suzuki. All I know about the motor is that it has dual plugs in each cylinder. Do any of you know about the reliabilty of this motor and what the compression should be? The owner says it has just over 300 hrs. It's a 1990 model motor by the way. Thanks for the help.

Re: 150 hp Suzuki questions

Don't know much about the Suzukis but I have a buddy with a 19'er with a '91 150 on the back. It runs great, he maintains it pretty well.

First thing with compression is that all cylinders should be within 10% of one another.

My uncle has a 97 Lund console fishing boat. It has a suzuki 150 hp 2 stroke engine that has no spark on one side of the engine. We are in idaho and the nearest dealer we can find is in Tacoma washington. Any ideas on what is causing the problem so we don't have to tow it that far for repair? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you
