Yamaha 4 stroke weight and boat??

I have a Lund-Larson 14 foot, 15inch Acadian which is rated for a 20 hp motor. A new yamaha 4 stroke weighs just over 100 lbs. Will this motor be safe to use on this boat??

That sounds awfully light for a 20hp 4 stroke, Mike.
My 9.9hp 1996 Johnson 4 stroke weighed 107lb.

What engine are you talking about?

According to their website, a new 20 hp electric yamaha is 114 lbs.

You're right, Mike.

That's in the weight class of a lot of 2 stroke 20s.

Sure it will work, as long as your transom is in good shape.
