Has anyone had experience with Skeggard and/or Skeg Pro skeg protectors. Skeggard appears to afford a little more protection by covering the entire skeg. However Skeg Pro appears to provide a practical solution by covering the leading edge for 30 less sheckles.

My second concern is if applying a skeg protector will in anyway compromise the performance of my boat?

Helpful thoughts appreciated!
Kevin

Re: Skeggard or Skeg Pro

I bought a boat with a Skeggard and never noticed any ill effects from it. I'll have to say I never ran the boat without it so I really cannot compare performance. Looked good. They also offer a money back guarantee with a no questions asked policy for 1 year. Even after instalation.

I think I would choose the Skeggard over the skegpro. From this design I feel there may be a chance of air turbulance as the water passes the following edge of the guard. Just MO with no evidence of proof.
