Honda exhaust question

Just recently purchased a 2000 Honda 9.9/15. While it is running I noticed a small amount of water comming out of the upper exhaust port. Checking the manual I am assuming that this is water injected to help cool the exhaust. Can anyone confirm this?

I cant speak for the Honda But Exhaust legs are water cooled even on air cooled outboards.
