I am afraid to ask a question after reading all of your rants about people not using correct etiquite, but I will risk your wrath. Just bought a used boat (88 Rinker 17') with 1979 Chrysler 115HP. I can steer it to the right with one finger but it takes two hands to steer to the left and it feels and sounds like I am going to break the wheel off when I do. The guy I bought it from (who I know and trust) told me the steering cable had recently been replaced. Any help would be appreciated and I hope I won't be banished to internet hell for asking.

You probably need to adjust the trim tab. The trim tab is the fin looking thing hanging down above the prop.

Loosen the fin and turn the TRAILING edge of the fin in the direction of the pull.

You'll have to do this in small increments until you get nuetral steering.
