I'm considering a new Honda 2.5hp or a Tohatsu 3.5hp to power a 15' Gheenoe on some smaller rivers. Any advice between those two engines, or any suggestions on a better option?
Regardless from OB brand a 3.5 HP is much better if more power is required. At same near weight, better is to have more and not need it than you know the rest.
If light weight is important look at Suzuki DF 2.5. As light as the Honda but water cooled & fwd/neutral gear shift instead of centrifugal clutch. Tohatsu 3.5 is good but much heavier.
