I have a 2006 Mercury 60HP on my Bass boat and am curious what this part is. My motors runs like a champ and has great compression so I don't think anything is wrong but I've noticed that when at wide open throttle and bring it down to idle, there is like a air noise, almost like a vacuum noise, than it goes away once the RPMs settle down. I've narrowed it down to the noise coming from this part. I noticed that there are 2 holes. 1 hole is open and the other one is connected to a tube that looks like it's connected to my intake box. Any help would be appreciated.
