I got bored
140cc briggs with steel flywheel, unknown year 9.9-15 suzuki.
Steel mount,steel 2 peice coupling.
Need to have 1 coupling half bored to 7/8.
Coupling weights 6 lbs,motor weights 9 lbs,lower unit weights 21 lbs.
Motor is rated 5.5 flbs torque, heavy coupling should increase torque.

Coupling made and installed, gotta build a tiller handle next.
I may just throw on my 7 hp engine.....but im curious to see how well the lil 4 hp will do first.

Coupling made,everything welded and bolted.

Is there a operating max rpm range when at full throttle for that engine ?

Assuming a 2.08 gear ratio 3600 rpm 9" prop 15% slip calculates to about 12 mph.Thats assuming motor can make 3600.

Finally got a decent 14x4 heavy duty rivited hull with papers.
Gonna clean carb tonight and try to test run over the weekend.
Hope all goes well and motor meets my expectations.

6mph at 1800 rpm with 3 adults....not bad at all.
Took her out for a 1 mile cruise untill a storm rolled in.
Im impressed. Cheap and reliable power.
I got offered $500 for it before i even launched it,i may take the cash.....but i really like this setup.
