Spark plug wire

Have a 2000 90hp Johnson .Spark plug wires looking worse for wear so decided to change but OMC Service Manual doesn't even mention anything about them that I could find so went to Marineengine web site and looked on the break down of parts and they don't mention them .Need help don't want to replace with wrong kind of wiring so could someone tell me what to watch for .

Gee, I looked on that site and found the spark plug wire easily. It is under ignition for your motor. I did not know the model number for your motor, so I looked up a J90PLSSE model. The OEM part number is 5005805 for each wire.

After checking closer I see that it takes 2 of the 5005805 and 2 of the 5005806 .I only posted this for clarity .I appericate this forum , lots of good information due to skilled persons taking time to share .

From an automotive spare parts outlet??

You should use copper cored cable. Automotive leads may not be.

Some outboard leads are very short and moulded to shape . It would be difficult with some to make a satisfactory job I suspect even given the correct cable

But otherwise yes!
