Hi Guys my 2000 Bravo 3 is about to turn 1500 hrs.... I only use the High Performance Mercruiser gear oil and faithfully change it every 100 hrs without fail.
What can I expect (possibly) for the lifetime?
Thanks!
Rick

No reason not to expect it to keep going and going.

Maybe check the gear lash to see if it is developing some wear, but if it is running well, keep going.

Not sure there is much of a history in terms of hours, like there is with the engines themselves. I have 800 hours on my Bravo drives, should keep going.

As long as it never gets low on oil, or gets water in it, the gears and bearings should all be lifetime. On average oil seals start to wear out from wear and tear in the 10 to 12 year range And the cone clutch is a wear and tear item as well. And the life on that all depends on how hard you shift it.

I have a Bravo 1 (same upper case) that is a 1996 with 600+ hours on it and still going strong.
