Just curious, I have a 2008 mercruser 3.0 liter alpha 1 gen ll motor as well, I get that it doesnt have the seawater strainer, at least i couldnt find one. so, is it necessary to clean the strainer? and how do you do that?? thanks

Ayuh,.... Welcome Aboard,... Yer raw water is strained, 'n pumped in the outdrive, not at the motor,.....
