81 Merc 120 square riser to round riser conversion?

I have an 81 Merc 120 I/O that I'm rebuilding. One of the reasons for this rebuild besides being tired is water intrusion. I have the square style riser and it's rusted along the top.

I was wondering if the round style would fit. I know that it sits at an offset but haven't actually seen one to know if it's to offset to work. Would I have to get a new downpipe or exhaust bellows or both to make it work.... Or should I just go back with the square? They're about the same price so that's not the issue, the round one "seems" more efficent.

Ayuh,.... You've gotta stay with what you've got,...

Switchin' to the Alpha 1 configuration(aka: the rounded, off-set riser), Nothin' will align with yer MC-1/ R drive set-up,...

I see.... Thanks for clearing that up for me. I figured it would be more than a pipe swap.
