Trim tab fluids/ Power steering fluid

hello-I have a 1989 29 ft formula PC with twin 350 merc mag / alhpa IO- 2 questions- is the trim/ tilt fluid good to use in the power steering pump-it does say on bottle for all power steering - or is regular auto steering fluid better. also I forgot how to fill the trim tab fluid ?

Pretty sure my mercruiser power steering takes dextron III auto trans fluid. Someone else should be able to verify this as i am not 100%. See what your manual is calling out for too.

Mercruiser allows just about ANY oil to be used in a trim system (including SAE 10W-30 oil)

It's just s simple hydraulic pump and actuator(s)

The power steering system uses a standard Eaton (or other) power steering pump.

Mercruiser indicates Mercruiser Power Trim and Steering Fluid or Dexron III fluid for the steering system.
