I have an 88 bayliner 1950 capri, with a bad penta 230e block. I am having trouble sourcing a good used 230 clock so I thought I would try a swap.
Can I do a direct swap with a OMC 2.3 ford long block?
I am new to marine motor work, but not engines.
My concern is the drive or motor mounts.
Thanks

First, welcome aboard

regarding your question - NO. cant be done without special adapters that dont exist. if you have a machine shop at your disposal and a good engineering background or hot-rodding background, maybe. without that, NO.

the volvo motor is a volvo motor from the 200 and 700 series cars

the OMC motor is a ford pinto motor that was also put in the ford ranger

its a square peg, round hole
