Exhaust??

I have a 1998 Baja hammer with a 7.4 mpi with thru hole exhaust without a diverter. I'm looking to switch to a diverter to keep it quiet when i want. I've searched a couple sites and the year only goes back to 2001. Any help greatly appreciated.

Easy enough to install switchable exhaust, remove the engine, install a Y pipe, reinstall engine and connect the diverters an thru hulls. Does your current exhaust go straight out the transom or out the sides?

If your motor is stock, following the advice of AllDodge above will get you selectable exhaust. If you have long riser elbows, it may not work.

Plenty of places to get diverters.

Should not be an issue so long as Scott mentioned you have a stock motor. You can do it with a high HP motor just need to make sure you have the correct exhaust.
