Mercruiser Diesel 4.2L

Hi All

I am looking to see if anyone has experience of a 2004 4.2L diesel I am looking at a boat with one and parts, service intervals etc. are worrying me a bit? I am in the UK where these are not as popular as the Volvo Penta engines and am struggling to get input.

Motor made by Nissan and so far has been a stable engine. My guess is parts will be cheaper for it the VP
