Hey guys, I have a 2007 crownline 3.0 and I'm having problems. I took it out last week an noticed a kinda squeling noise when the boat was in neutral then as I gave more throttle it eventually went away. I oped up the engine cover an notice the alternator was loose so I tighter it back up an it went away for a while. Same thing happen few hours later. I herd the noise an once again alternator was loose. So then tighted it back up. I had it out the next day no problem what's so ever. Then I took it out last night and the problem hit again. But his time the alternator wasn't loose like usual it was firm. Anyone have any ideas why its making the squeling / schreaching noise? Thnx

The belt could now be bad from the slipping when the alternator was not tight.

Ayuh,..... Welcome Aboard,.... Rusty pulleys will eat up a belt, makin' it longer, 'n longer,....

Once it get's to the bottom of the shiv, it can't transmit power without slippin',....

Ya got rusty pulleys,..??
