Okay... figured I would post a pic of my progress so far. I am finally finishing up with the assembling the motor phase of the 'rebuild'. Yes, I painted the motor Chevy Orange - if I ever have another oil leak, I want to be able to see it before it ends up in the bilge. Yes I painted the intake Silver - it was just too much orange! and yes... I put some chrome on it (timing chain cover and valve covers). Old timing chain cover was pretty banged up, and one valve cover had a broken through bolt tube.
I also added a fumoto Valve (f-101n) to make oil changes a bit easier - okay A LOT easier.

Yeah yeah yeah..... It's just a little GM 4.3 V6
Now - If I had a few truckloads of cash I would be on the search for something like an old Chrysler Superbee 340 Jet boat
