I have a 20 hp mercury model oc194413. I already removed cleaned and rebuilt the carb but at 1 1/2 turns out on the idle screw engine idles rough, and dies after a few seconds when engaged into gear. clear fuel filter container inside engine cowel stays full and primer ball on hose stays pretty firm. please help, pulling my hair out trying to figure this out after complete rebuild of boat interior.if I pump the small priming pump on side of carb I can keep it running so I know there is fuel in bowl my only question is what is float setting? and am I getting enough fuel for main jet to function properly? or is there a possibility I could have fuel line restrictions not allowing bowl to fill quick enough but still have enough flow to keep filter bowl to stay full?
