Since some weeks i have a small RIB with a 15E Mercury 2-stroke (2004), it worked fine but it now shows some issues:
1. Motor shutting down
2. Motor losing power
The boat planes with a little effort but since 2 days the motor is not having enough traction sometime, not always, also during a full powerpower run the traction sometime flows away. Best is to shut it down and start again solving the problem, also sometimes.
The issues started with the fuel i used with a 1:50 mix (smoke, gasoline smell), i am not sure but i think is should be 1:50 according to the specifications. After being on the water for a while i added more gasoline. Less smoke, looks quite nomal, and no smell but nog having these issues. Using an electrical starter and remote. Water flow and exhaust seem to work fine.
