Hi guys, I have a 2004 60HP Mercury 3cly that is having hesitation problems at low speed. It's on a 17' center console. Carbs are clean and compression was good last year when I checked and was having same problem. Once the boat is on plane there are no problems at all just taking off. I was thinking it may be a coil pack (CDM Modulel) And after looking at them two of there part numbers end in A7 and the other ends in A8 and looks like it may have been replaced before I got the boat. It's had this same issue ever sence I've had the boat. Could the CDM that ends in A8 be creating this problem? Is there a way you can test the CDM module with a meter? Also when out of water is sounds like a miss every now and then.
