After reading many of the posts here, it occurred to me that I've never heard any kind of alarm on my motor since I've owned it. I'm the original owner. Should I not hear a beep when I turn the key? Where is the alarm located? Any other advice would be appreciated. Thanks..

Quicksilver 2000 and 3000 are supposed to beep once at turn on to indicate the system is operational. The OT sense wire in the engine is tan or tan with a light blue stripe. Find one and follow it to the bayonet connection between it and the connector to the remote control. Carefully pull it apart and with a wire connected to the battery - or engine block...unpainted area, touch the inside of the connector grounding the wire. The horn should sound. If not you have a wiring problem. I forget which but the horn may be inside the control or externally tie wrapped to the harness at the location of the control.
