Mercury 50 HP Stator Testing

I was wondering if y'all could help me out on a problem testing my stator. The resistance test from white/green to green/white is open, but the voltage from these two wires are giving me 120v when cranked. The resistance is supposed to be 500-700 ohms on one site and >100v voltage testing. I have not spark at he plugs. Do I have a bad stator?

Replaced the stator and the spark came back in the plugs. So, I figured that the voltage I was seeing was induced by the other windings or something. no ohms=bad stator.
