I just picked up a 88 merc 135 with o compression on # 4 piston, all others are between 120 and 115. I removed the cyl heads and port side # 4 looks bad, here is a pic. heads bad to. starboard side looks good. does anybody have a possible causes as to were to start to looking . there is no sign of over heating no discoloration or paint peeling the cyl is in my opinion pretty badly scored so it maybe beyond boring and in need of a resleeve . what are your thoughts .
