2002 50hp 4 stroke rough idle

Motor starts right up,but at idle it wants to die.choke it a little it's fine.do I need to clean carbs?can I just spray carb cleaner in carbs?

Is this 4 stroke efi or carbs....many people have problems with float being bent due to ethanol eating away at it..just rebuilt a 15h.p. carb four stroke with that problem...Float was completely out of spec with no adjustment being plastic..throw away! Rebuild the carb with new needle/seat and float...

Send out the injectors..my 115 four stroke had a bad stumble and I sent out the injectors...Gone...Send to Brucato...Linda does a great job and they are great people to work with..You will get a pre and after stats on each injector to know the condition they were and how they cleaned up..Just because it is EFI doesn't mean there is no maintainance.....Blame it on Ethanol...
