hello im having a problem just got this pontoon and its been sitting in the water for last 5 years without being started . i cleaned it all up cleaned carbs and got it started . ran fine about a minute and water pump went out i never checked to see if it shifted correctly before i pulled the lu . now its back together and i can shift it by hand with the slide on side of motor bit when i hook cables up i have no forward at all . anyone have any ideas? ive pulled it apart and checked shift shaft a dozen times eveeverytime ive had it in netural when putting it bck together. by the way its a 99 merc 60hp bigfoot . its almost seems like the cable doesnt have enough throw to pull it into gorward but like i said shifts perfect by hand
