Wiring diagram for 2015 9.9 ELPT

I am installing a kicker outboard on a larger boat and trying to create my own wiring harness but would like to verify the connection before I put power to it.
My biggest question is dealing with the Blk/yellow wire for the kill switch, how is it supposed to be wired?

The blk/yellow goes to ground to short out the cdi and kill the engine. Run the wire to whatever switch you'll use then to the engine ground. When the switch closes the engine will stop, that wire can't be grounded or the engine won't run.
