I have been messing with this for a while, and it's time to ask folks smarter than me. Wiring is not my forte, and I always feel confused when I start looking at diagrams and such.

I am trying to swap out my key switch, which is a 6 wire with push to choke. It also splits off to a plug for the tach. I though this would be an easy swap, but I'm finding that the labels on the original switch, and on the replacement switch are not exactly the same. The original switch is labeled as follows :

Two purple wires to A
Two black wires to M
Yellow with red stripe to S
Yellow with black stripe to C
Red wire to B
Black and black with yellow stripe to M

All of the posts for these wires are around the outside of the switch, nothing in the middle.

On the new switch, which I understood was to be a direct replacement, it's a little different :

Post C is in the center
Around the outside there are posts labeled M, I (not on old switch), and S
This leaves two more posts around the outside, with letters A,M, and B crammed in so close that I'm not sure which is which.

I took a picture of the new switch, but the forum is saying it's too big to upload. I'll try to fix that. In the meantime, if anyone has any insight, it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!
