Hi, I am going to run a direct battery cable for both negative and positive directly from the Battery to the solenoid, and ground respectively, as my plug for the regular battery cables is all corroded, and I can't get a good connection.
What size wire should I be using? I want it to be able to spin up the starter nice and fast, as these old beasts like to crank to get the go-juice flowing.
I was thinking about using size 2, but didn't know if that was overkill. the cable would be 8' long, so maybe thats not overkill after all. Any ideas would be great. I just can't justify ordering a whole new harness.
