Hi everyone . picked up this motor for a friend . It came with controls and cables but the cables were to short . Got the new cables and the shift hooked up fine with a little adjustment but having trouble with the throttle .. With the cable adjustment tab at it's max it's about an inch short of hooking to the attachment post on the idle arm .. At neutral with the arm fully back the carb plate Should be closed correct? Here is a short /bad video .. Any help would b appreciated..

Guessing the problem is at the helm end of the cable.
Many controls units have multiple cable mounting locations to attach the cable to.

Figured it out ... The warm up bar was not correctly hooked up right .. The throttle post was pushed forward to far and it would not pull past the center of shift mechanism...
