if i disconnect the oil injection system, how are the bearings at the ends of the shaft going to be oiled/lubricated. i understand with premix, the pistons get oiled thru the carbs, but how do these bearings at the end of the crank get oiled??? when you look at the oil injection system the oil lines go from the oil tank pump across the powerhead to each individual pistons and the same oil line go to each end of the crank, so how or even do these bearings at the ends of the crank even get oiled when disconnecting the oil injection system on these mercs that seem to be entirely different from th evro systmes on the omc motors!!!! ssl thankx, handyman craig

What yeat/ hp motor??? If its a DI motor you cannot convert it to premix as these are the ones that oils lines to cylinders. Non DI engines it is distributed by crankcase vacuum/pressure to upper bearing.

assumin' plane jane merc.....
center mains are pretty obvious. bottom bearing mix from crankcase which in turn pushes mixture "up" thru a one-way fitting (tube between bottom n top bearings) to top bearing by crankcase pressure.....

On carb motors with oil injection, the oil is mixed with gasoline at the fuel pump, and then introduced into carbs, just like a premix motor. You are likely looking at the fuel recirculation hoses.
