Mercury 9.8 hp year identification.

Hi everyone I have been a long time reader but this is my first post. I am having a hard time figuring out the year of the motor that I have. I was told it is a 1982 9.8 but when i search the serial number I can not find it. I found where it is stamped onto the engine block. The number is 4127725. Also does anyone know of a place to order parts for these motors? Thanks

:welcome: That serial# is for a 1975 model 110 (9.8 hp). you can order most parts from iboats.

Great thank you so much for the info. Now I can start to work on it. Where did you find the info if I may ask. I looked for a few hours with no luck.
